Maternity clothes on a budget

Maternity clothes on a budget

I vowed when I got pregnant with my first daughter, that I wouldn’t buy maternity clothes. After seeing how expensive and temporary they were, I was immediately turned off. This was before I even started to get intentional with my finances. My alternative… wearing cotton maxi dresses whenever I had to get dressed. At that time I was working six days a week so those days were few and far between.

There is absolutely nothing that I hate more than wasting money on clothes... wouldn’t you agree? The average lifespan on the clothes in my closet is around five years. I stood my ground and decided I would not buy maternity clothes this pregnancy either.

Surprise, surprise! I won a maternity photo shoot. Who knew? Of course, I was ecstatic at first but after those mini-moments of celebrating, reality kicked in. I didn’t have a damn thing to wear! If this is you or anyone you know, La Belle Bump is a lifesaver. It was definitely mine.

La Belle Bump

Here comes the drum roll… La Belle Bump is a maternity & nursing clothing rental subscription service. They provide a wide variety of stylish clothes without breaking the bank. For special occasions like a photoshoot, you can rent this item for 7 days or any other fashionable item in their inventory and there’s more. The price is dependent on the piece you choose with massive discounts. Pictured in this post is the lace floor length dress that rents for $70, that’s a whopping 80 percent off the retail price.

You’ve got options…

Not anti maternity and nursing clothes like me? There are two other rental options that may fit your needs and also will not break the bank. The first option is a Three Item Box which gives you an unlimited maternity wardrobe and allows you to always look fresh and stylish for $69 per month.  Keep the items as long as you'd like. Or exchange the clothes as many times as you'd like. Send 1, 2, or 3 items back and receive the same number of items delivered to your door. Want more? Select the second option which is the Five Item Box. This might work better for you at only $99 per month if you need more items. This works just as the Three Item Box but you get more options since your box comes with five items for any occasion.

I loved my experience with La Belle Bump. I simply picked out the dresses I thought would fit in the theme of my photo shoot and like clockwork, they arrived straight to my front door. Three dresses arrived, all fitting like a charm. I ultimately settled on the lace dress for the shoot and rocked a one-shoulder black formal dress for my baby shower the following day.

Once done with the dresses, I simply sealed them in the pre-addressed envelope provided and dropped them at the post office. Easy and convenient. I not only got to look fly, rocking my baby bump; I avoided the stress of overspending on costly clothes that I would probably never wear again. La Belle bump was my win-win in my dilemma.

My seal of approval

So for all the pregnant and nursing mommas out there, I wholeheartedly recommend budgeting for La Belle Bump to meet your maternity wear needs. Not only is it cost effective, but the clothes are also fashionable and high quality.
